OILMETRIC measures the engine oil temperature directly in the oil bath (oil dipstick tube) and transmits the values wirelessly via Bluetooth Low Energy to the interior on an AMOLED touch display. For precise warm-up, load control and data-based selection of the right engine oil.

Why the oil temperature is crucial
Most vehicles only display the coolant temperature ex works. cooling water temperature temperature. However, this is not sufficient to assess the actual thermal condition of the engine.

Installation instructions
- Replace original oil dipstick with OILMETRIC sensor dipstick (length can be adjusted universally by hand, use the supplied sealing rings to seal the measuring tube properly: exact fit depending on the tube diameter).
- OILMETRIC Position the sensor module anywhere in the engine compartment and secure with the straps supplied.
- Connect theblack cable of the OILMETRIC Sensor module directly to the battery at the negative terminal (or to the body/ground as required).
- Connect the red cable of the OILMETRIC sensor module directly to the positive terminal of the battery (no connection to the ignition necessary)
- Connect the power supply of the display to the cigarette lighter - done. The system connects and calibrates itself automatically.
Note on checking the oil level: For precise oil level measurement, continue to use the original dipstick.

Does OILMETRIC measure the engine oil temperature directly in the oil?
Yes, the sensor is located in the dipstick tube and measures the temperature of the oil - the display is shown in the cockpit in real time.
How often is the display updated?
Every 2 seconds - for genuine real-time values.
Do I have to connect to ignition plus or CAN bus?
No. Thanks to Auto-Wake and Deep-Sleep, the system works independently of the ignition.
Can I set warnings?
Yes, min/max limit values can be set. Warnings are visually active, acoustic signals can be used as an option.
Can I display my own logo?
Yes, via Bluetooth/WebBLE upload. Depending on the iOS browser, WebBLE may be limited - a compatible browser is recommended.
Note: Please continue to use the original dipstick for precise oil level checks.
