OELMETRIK
Service & further enquiries
What does OELMETRIK measure?
OELMETRIK measures the engine oil temperature directly in the engine oil and shows it on an AMOLED touchscreen in the cockpit. The sensor tip reaches the engine oil through the dipstick tube.
What is the difference between OELMETRIK D1 and D2?
D1 plugs directly into the vehicle power socket with its integrated 12 V converter. You position D2 on an air vent using a magnetic mount; a separate converter and connecting cables power the display. Both versions use the same measurement principle.
Does OELMETRIK require a CAN bus or ignition-switched power?
No. OELMETRIK operates independently and requires neither a CAN bus nor ignition power. The sensor module is powered via a 12 V constant positive supply and earth.
Is OELMETRIK wireless?
Yes, OELMETRIK transmits measurement data wirelessly via Bluetooth Low Energy from the engine bay to the display. This means no data cable to the cockpit is needed. The sensor module and display are each supplied with 12 V.
Which vehicles is OELMETRIK suitable for?
OELMETRIK is intended for internal combustion engines with a suitable push-in oil dipstick. We use your vehicle details to check technical fitment. Screw-in and bayonet dipsticks are excluded from this system.
Does OELMETRIK also measure the oil level?
OELMETRIK measures the engine oil temperature. You continue to check the oil level with the original dipstick.
How does OELMETRIK help with assessing oil selection and change intervals?
The temperature and operating data from OELMETRIK support the technical assessment of your driving profile. They can provide an additional basis for selecting oil viscosity and maintenance intervals within the manufacturer’s specifications.
Can I display my own logo on OELMETRIK?
Yes. You can display your own logo on the screen and upload it via WebBLE. To do this, you’ll need a device and a browser with suitable WebBLE support.
How is the OELMETRIK D2 display attached?
The D2 display is attached magnetically to the air vent using a retaining clip.
What do I need to install OELMETRIK D2?
For the D2, select a suitable air vent within the desired field of view and ensure a safe cable route to the separate 12 V converter. We will check the fit of the oil dipstick with temperature sensor on the engine side based on your vehicle specifications.
Why is the engine oil temperature important during the warm-up phase?
Coolant temperature is not the same as oil temperature. OELMETRIK shows you when the engine oil actually warms up, and supports informed warm-up and load management.
Where is OELMETRIK developed and manufactured?
OELMETRIK is developed and manufactured in Germany by 07eins.
