Turbochargers & Turbo Check
Selection & Fit
Why is the exact turbocharger design important?
Engine-specific tuning improves the turbocharger’s durability and reliability. 07eins uses the most robust bearing designs available for the respective engine type; larger axial bearing washers and main bearings increase wear resistance and bearing load-carrying capacity. Depending on the engine and operating requirements, other components such as the compressor housing, turbine shaft, oil supply and pressure actuator are specifically selected.
Features & Benefits
Can PD injector problems manifest as turbocharger damage?
Yes. Loss of power, smoke and poor acceleration can arise from issues with both the fuel injection system and the turbocharger. A targeted inspection helps to identify the correct repair method and avoid an unnecessary turbocharger replacement. The decisive factor is the identified cause, not the symptom alone.
Service & further enquiries
What is the difference between a new and a reconditioned turbocharger?
A fully reconditioned turbocharger is based on a used unit: worn or damaged components are replaced, whilst other parts may be reused. A new turbocharger uses new components. Your choice should therefore be based on the actual scope of the overhaul, the condition of the reused parts and how well it is matched to the specific engine.
Who would benefit from a new turbocharger?
A new 07eins turbocharger is the right choice for you if you’re looking for long-term durability and the best possible reliability when replacing your turbocharger. Designed for longevity, this model is particularly suitable for versatile everyday vehicles such as the VW T5 2.5 TDI. You can find the right variant on the turbocharger product page.
Do I have to return my old turbocharger or pay a deposit for the old part?
No. The 07eins turbocharger for the VW T5 2.5 TDI is sold as a new product. Therefore, there is no need to pay a deposit for the old part or to return the old turbocharger.
What information do I need to choose a T5 turbocharger?
The engine code, engine power and diesel particulate filter version determine your choice. Before ordering, match these three details to the turbocharger variant on offer.
How does the 07eins Turbo-Check work?
You receive a shipping label and an order confirmation to sign. Send in the securely packed defective turbocharger together with the signed confirmation, including authorisation for disposal. 07eins analyses the component; you receive the PDF report via a download link sent by email. The defective turbocharger is then disposed of free of charge. The service is intended for customers in Germany and the other EU member states.
