PD injector retainer / PDE repair holder for VW, Audi, Seat, Skoda TDI

It affects all diesel engines with pump-injector units (PDE) that are bolted on one side.

- Starting problems with the engine, especially during cold starts and when the engine is particularly hot

- In all diesel engines with pump-injector units (PDE) that are bolted on one side, the PDEs work their way more and more into the cylinder head over the course of the running time.

- This causes diesel to be mixed into the engine oil due to leaks.

- The lubricating effect of the engine oil is significantly reduced, which in the course of time leads to complete engine damage.

For the VW T5 2.5 TDI (all engine codes), the PD injector bridge is a product option for additional PD injector stabilisation. PD injector retainers stabilise the individual PD injector bodies and are available in appropriate sets for 3-, 4-, 5- or 10-cylinder engines, depending on the engine. A dedicated 16V PD injector bridge is available for compatible 2.0 TDI 16V engines with BOSCH PD injectors. The PFS-Kit takes a different approach: it is intended to prevent the fuel lines from draining after the engine is switched off. PD injector retainers provide additional stabilisation for the body of the unit injector in the cylinder head. This reduces movement and relieves stress on the sealing arrangement at the PD injector seat. They are also referred to on the market as PD injector repair retainers. The individual retainers allow suitable solutions for engine designs where there is no room for the conventional PD injector bridge.

The PD injector retainers are fitted to the individual unit injectors according to the appropriate installation instructions. During this work, the PD injectors and seating surfaces are inspected and the specified seals and bolts are replaced. Access and the work steps differ depending on the engine; therefore, choose the instructions for the specific application.
