When PDE seats shift, simply repairing the seal is often no longer sufficient.
In 1.9 TDI and 2.0 TDI pump-jet TDI engines with unit injectors, the unit injectors can shift within the cylinder head or become worn into the sealing surfaces due to vibrations, mileage and stress. As a result, the sealing rings no longer fit perfectly, the seal deteriorates and typical PDI problems may arise.
The 07eins PDE injector retainer complete set combines mechanical PDE injector fixation, reinforced sealing and suitable fitting materials in a coordinated repair package.
Identifying typical PDE problems
These symptoms may indicate wandering or leaking PDEs
Many drivers don’t initially look for PD injector retainers, but rather for the symptoms: poor starting, jerking, loss of power or a rising oil level. It is precisely these signs that can occur in pump-jet TDI engines with unit injectors when the unit injectors no longer sit properly in the cylinder head, move slightly or the seals no longer provide a reliable seal.
Starting difficulties when cold or warm
The engine is harder to start in the morning, after being left standing for a long time, or even when warm. Often, you have to crank it for longer until the TDI runs smoothly.
Uneven engine running and jerking
The engine runs roughly at idle, shakes or responds unevenly whilst driving. This may indicate a misaligned PD injector position, a leak or uneven fuel injection.
Loss of power and reduced torque
The TDI no longer pulls as it used to, accelerates more sluggishly or feels less powerful under load. An imperfect seal or altered injection conditions can noticeably impair engine performance.
Oil dilution / rising oil level
The oil level appears to be rising or the engine oil smells of diesel. This may be caused by diesel in the engine oil — a risk to bearings, the camshaft, the turbocharger and general engine lubrication.

If the engine oil smells distinctly of diesel, the cause should be investigated promptly. Diesel in the oil reduces lubricity and can cause costly consequential damage in the long term.
Increased fuel consumption
If the engine is no longer injecting fuel properly or is no longer burning fuel efficiently, diesel consumption may increase. This symptom is often first noticed during everyday driving or on longer journeys.
Smoke coming from the exhaust
Black or bluish smoke may indicate incomplete combustion, oil burning or a faulty injection system. This should be checked, particularly if accompanied by starting problems or jerking.
Engine warning light or fault codes
If the engine warning light comes on or faults are logged in the injection system, it is important to check not only the individual component but also the mechanical condition of the PD injector seat.

The system is designed as a practical repair solution and enables the PDEs to be secured more firmly without the need for mechanical machining of the cylinder head. This makes it suitable both for repairing existing problems and for preventative stabilisation.
In many cases, newly stabilised PDEs can provide a better seal even on sealing surfaces that are already damaged. However, their effectiveness always depends on the condition of the seating surfaces and any pre-existing damage.

Zuerst an meinem 1.9 TDI T5 BRS und jetzt bei unserem Caddy mit dem 2.0 SDI BST Saugdiesel. Beide Fahrzeuge springen top an. Ich kann 07eins jedem empfehlen, der Kummer mit den Pumpe Düse Motoren hat.
Schlau ist es, sie schon bei geringer Laufleistung zu verbauen. Dann halten die Motoren ewig ;-)
