The 16V PD injector bridge from 07eins has been developed for compatible 2.0 TDI 16V unit injector engines with Bosch PD injectors. It reduces the movement of the injectors within the cylinder head and improves the mechanical operating conditions of the unit injector seals.

Problem
When unit injector seals start to leak again.
Poor cold starts, rough running, diesel in the oil or scoring on the PD injector seat may occur when the unit injector is operating in the cylinder head.
In this case, it is not just the seal that is relevant. The crucial factor is whether the PD injector remains mechanically stable in its position.
Solution
Additional mechanical stabilisation.
The 16V PD injector bridge stabilises the Bosch PD injectors directly on the housing and transfers the forces acting on them via a firmly bolted aluminium connecting strip on the cylinder head.
This reduces movement at the PD injector seat, rather than simply replacing the seal.
Technical principle
Developed based on experience with PD injector bridges and PD injector retainers.
The 16V PD injector bridge combines two tried-and-tested 07eins core concepts: the thermally optimised aluminium structure of the PD injector bridge and the direct injector connection of the PD injector retainer.
Aluminium connecting strip
The long structure is securely bolted to the cylinder head and acts as an abutment.
Tempered steel brackets
The highly stressed retaining areas engage directly with the PD injector housing.
Adjustment plates
For tolerance compensation, defined preload and individual adaptation to the actual installation situation.
Why 07eins
Don’t just seal it. Stabilise the root cause.
With unit injector engines, simply fitting new seals is often not enough. When the PD injector is operating in its seat, even new seals are subjected to mechanical stress once again.
This is why 07eins tackles the movement itself with the 16V PD injector bridge: the unit injector is stabilised on the housing, the forces are transferred to the cylinder head via the aluminium connecting strip, and tolerances are compensated for using shims.

Installation instructions
07eins ’s 16V PD injector bolts must be used.
To fit the 16V PD injector bridge, the supplied 8 × 07eins 16V PDE injector bolts M6 × 95 to be used.
These bolts are longer than the factory-fitted injector bolts and are designed to match the additional component geometry of the 16V PD injector bridge. The standard bolts must not be reused in this location.

Early installation recommended
Early installation can reduce the load on the PD injector seat and limit the effects of run-in marks that are already beginning to form. However, damage to the cylinder head, the sealing surfaces or the PD injector seat that is too far advanced cannot be fully compensated for even by the 16V PD injector bridge.
Installation and follow-up costs
Fitting costs, removal costs, consumables, diagnostic costs and other associated costs are to be borne by the customer and will not be reimbursed.

Does the 16V PD injector bridge fit every 2.0 TDI?
No. The 2.0 TDI 16V unit injector system and compatible Bosch PDEs are essential. Common-rail engines, 8V PDEs and Siemens/piezo PDEs are not within the scope of application.
