The ‘ 07eins ’ 16V overhaul bolt kit contains the relevant bolts and washers supplied with the ORIGINAL ‘ 07eins ’ 16V PD injector bridge. It is intended for use when the 16V PD injector bridge has been removed as part of a PDE overhaul, diagnosis, cylinder head removal or re-assembly, and is subsequently to be refitted correctly using new bolts.

Why a refurbishment screw set?
Once the 16V PD injector bridge has been removed, the fixing bolts should be replaced.
When carrying out work on the unit injectors, it may be necessary to remove the 07eins 16V PD injector bridge again. This may be the case, for example, during a PD injector overhaul, when inspecting or reconditioning the PD injectors, when resealing, or when working on the cylinder head.
After dismantling, the bridge should not simply be refitted using used bolts. Bolts that have already been fitted, loaded or tightened may lose their original mounting and preload integrity. This applies in particular to expansion bolts and safety-critical bolted connections in the area of the unit injectors.

The 07eins 16V overhaul screw set provides the relevant screw components required for reassembling the 16V PD injector bridge. This allows the bridge to be refitted with new, suitable screws following an overhaul or disassembly.
For reassembly following a PDE injector overhaul
If the unit injectors are to be inspected, overhauled or resealed, the 16V PD injector bridge may need to be removed and then refitted.
New bolts instead of reusing old ones
Old or previously tightened bolts should not be reused. The overhaul kit provides the appropriate replacement components for this purpose.

Installation instructions
07eins 16V PD injector bolts must be used.
To fit the 16V PD injector bridge, the screws contained in the overhaul screw kit must be used 8 × 07eins 16V PDE injector bolts M6 × 95 to be used.
These bolts are longer than the factory-fitted injector bolts and are designed to match the additional component geometry of the 16V PD injector bridge. The standard bolts must not be reused in this location.
When refitting the 16V PD injector bridge following removal, PDE overhaul or cylinder head opening, used bolts should never be reused. Use new, suitable bolts and follow the relevant fitting instructions.

No aluminium connecting strip
The blue anodised 16V PD injector bridge aluminium connecting strip is not included.
No heat-treated steel brackets
The 4 heat-treated steel brackets for the 16V PD injector bridge are not included.
No adjustment plates
The 0.5 mm shims for adjustment and preload are not included in this set.
No fitting or gasket set
BOSCH gasket kits, VITON gasket kits, rocker arm bolts or threadlocker are not included.
Why new bolts?
Used screws should not be reused.
Screws in the area of the unit injectors and the 16V PD injector bridge fulfil a safety- and function-critical role. After initial tightening, they may be subject to mechanical stress, stretched or their clamping effect may have changed.
Do not reuse expansion bolts
Expansion bolts that have already been used should be replaced with new bolts after removal.
Specified installation conditions
New bolts provide a better basis for professional reassembly.
Protection of the repair work
If the engine has already been opened, re-assembly should not be prevented by the use of second-hand bolts.

This overhaul screw kit is intended for the reassembly of the ORIGINAL 07eins 16V PD injector bridge. It is not a universal screw kit for any unit injector work.
To fit the 16V PD injector bridge, the included 8 × 07eins 16V PDE injector bolts M6 × 95 must be used. Standard or excessively short injector bolts must not be reused in this application.
When working on unit injectors, the cylinder head, sealing surfaces or the PD injector bridge, the relevant assembly specifications, tightening torques, test procedures and technical requirements must be observed.
Any installation costs, dismantling costs, consumables, diagnostic costs and other associated costs incurred shall always be borne by the customer and will not be reimbursed.

What is the 16V overhaul screw set intended for?
It is intended for the reassembly of the 07eins 16V PD injector bridge if it has been dismantled, for example, for PD injector servicing, seal replacement, diagnostics or cylinder head removal.
Is this the complete 16V PD injector bridge?
No. The overhaul screw set contains only the screws and washers listed. The aluminium connecting strip, heat-treated steel brackets and adjustment plates are not included.
Why shouldn’t old screws be reused?
Screws may be stressed or stretched when first tightened. In particular, expansion screws should not be reused after removal, but should be replaced with new screws.
