Specially developed mechanical valve control unit which prevents the fuel lines to the cylinder head from running dry when the engine is switched off.

The fuel valve kit is designed to support the function of the feed pump and to replace missing, damaged or worn components of the factory-fitted fuel return system.

Variants:

To determine the correct variant of the Performance Fuel Supply Kit for your vehicle, please check in advance which type of filter is fitted (with 2 or 4 connections). • PFSK-4: Version for use in vehicles with 4 connections on the fuel filter unit
• PFSK-2:  Version for use in vehicles with 2 connections on the fuel filter unit
• PFSK-U: Universal variant with hose connections (separate product) 

Background:

Whilst driving, fuel from the tank continuously circulates through the cylinder head, and the volume recirculated through the system heats the entire fuel supply. After the engine has been switched off, the physical effects of the fuel cooling down – despite the fuel tank venting system being intact – can cause the fuel to withdraw from the cylinder head back into the fuel lines.

This results in delayed starting, with the starter motor running for longer before the engine starts.

Over time, minimal quantities of fuel that were not burnt off during the prolonged start-up process enter the crankcase and can therefore contribute to the well-known rising oil level and the associated consequential damage.

The fuel valve kit uses pressure-sensitive valves to shut off both- and return lines of the fuel lines from the tank and diesel filter, thereby ensuring that there is always sufficient fuel available directly in the cylinder head to guarantee an immediate, clean engine start.
