A specially developed, universal mechanical valve control unit which prevents the fuel lines to the cylinder head from running dry when the engine is switched off.

The fuel valve kit is designed to support the function of the feed pump and to replace missing, damaged or worn components of the factory-fitted fuel return system.

Background:

Whilst driving, fuel from the tank continuously circulates through the cylinder head and, via the volume recirculated within the system, heats the entire fuel supply. After the engine has been switched off, the physical effects of the fuel cooling down can cause the fuel to withdraw from the cylinder head through the supply lines, even if the tank venting system is intact.

The result is delayed starting, with the starter motor running for longer before the engine starts.

Over time, minimal quantities of fuel that were not burnt during the delayed start-up process enter the crankcase and can thus contribute to the well-known rising oil level and the associated consequential damage.

The fuel valve kit uses pressure-sensitive valves to isolate both the supply- and return lines from the fuel tank and diesel filter after the engine has been switched off, thereby ensuring that there is always sufficient fuel available directly in the cylinder head to guarantee an immediate, smooth engine start.
