In 2.5 TDI pump-jet TDI engines with unit injectors from the VW Group, the unit injectors can become displaced within the cylinder head or wear into the sealing surfaces due to vibrations and stress. The result: the sealing rings no longer sit correctly, the seal deteriorates and typical PDE problems can arise.
The ORIGINAL 07eins PD injector bridge permanently secures and centres the unit injectors in the cylinder head. The sealing rings remain in their correct position and can seal reliably.
Identifying typical PDE problems
These symptoms may indicate wandering or leaking PDEs
Many TDI drivers do not initially look for a PD injector bridge, but rather for the symptoms: poor starting, jerking, loss of power, diesel in the oil or a rising oil level. It is precisely these signs that can occur in the VW T5 2.5 TDI if the unit injectors in the cylinder head no longer fit properly, move slightly or the seals no longer provide a reliable seal.
Starting difficulties when cold or warm
The engine starts less easily in the morning, after a long period of inactivity, or even when warm. Often, you have to crank it for longer before the TDI runs smoothly.
Uneven engine running and jerking
The engine runs roughly at idle, shakes or responds unevenly whilst driving. This may indicate a misaligned PD injector, a leak or uneven fuel injection.

Smell of diesel or fuel ingress
If diesel fuel leaks past the unit injector seals, this may be noticeable through a smell of fuel, changes in the oil or unusual starting behaviour.
Increased fuel consumption
If the engine is no longer injecting fuel properly or is no longer burning fuel efficiently, diesel consumption may increase. This symptom is often first noticed during everyday driving or on longer journeys.
Smoke coming from the exhaust
Black or bluish smoke may indicate incomplete combustion, oil burning or a faulty injection system. This should be checked, particularly if accompanied by starting problems or jerking.
Recurring leaks despite new seals
If unit injector seals have already been replaced and the problems recur, the cause often lies deeper: the PD injectors must be mechanically stabilised so that the seal can operate permanently in its intended position.

The modular, utility model-protected system allows for hassle-free assembly and disassembly. The flexible connecting strip made from a special aluminium alloy accommodates the necessary tolerance variations between the individual injectors and ensures even pressure distribution.
