These symptoms may indicate shifting or leaking PDEs
Many T5 drivers initially look for the symptoms rather than a PDE bridge: poor starting, jerking, loss of power, or rising oil level. These are exactly the signs that can occur in the VW T5 2.5 TDI when the pump-nozzle elements no longer fit properly in the cylinder head, move slightly, or the seals no longer seal reliably.
The engine has trouble starting in the morning, after sitting for a long time, or even when warm. Often, it takes several attempts before the TDI runs smoothly.
The engine idles roughly, shakes, or responds unevenly while driving. This may indicate a misaligned PDE position, a leak, or uneven fuel injection.

If the engine is no longer injecting fuel cleanly or burning it efficiently, diesel consumption may increase. This symptom is often first noticed during everyday driving or on longer trips.
Black or bluish smoke can indicate incomplete combustion, oil burning, or a malfunctioning injection system. This should be checked, especially if accompanied by starting problems or rough idling.
If the engine check light comes on or error codes are logged in the fuel injection system, not only the individual component but also the mechanical condition of the PDE seat should be checked.
If gaskets have already been replaced and the problems recur, the cause often lies deeper: The PDE must be mechanically stabilized so that the gasket can function permanently in its intended position.

Ich hatte das Problem, dass mein AXE nach mehr als 8 Stunden Stillstand fast gar nicht mehr startete. Erst nach längerem orgeln kam so langsam ein Zylinder nach dem anderen. Nach dem Einbau dieses Stets war das Problem weg und jetzt nach knapp einem Jahr der der täglichen Nutzung nicht mehr wieder. Demnach sind die Brücke und die speziellen Dichtungen meine absolute Kaufempfehlung, auch wenn der Bus, wie bei mir schon mehr als 350k gelaufen ist.
Gerade noch rechtzeitig eingebaut, um die Sitze der PDEs im Zylinderkopf zu schützen. Wirksame Beseitigung der VW Fehlkonstruktion. Motor läuft problemlos. Keine Ölverdünnung zu erkennen. Jederzeit zu empfehlen, um die Lebensdauer des Motors zu verlängern.
