Genuine VW PDE wiring harness / PDE cable harness for 5-cylinder pump-injector engines

Suitable electrical connection strip for the pump-injector elements. Known and frequent source of error, especially in older vehicles.

Causes:

Due to the influence of temperature and vibrations inside the engine, non-visible cable breaks often occur under the insulating sheath of the cables as well as contact problems at the plug connections over a longer period of time.

This results in engine misfiring and jolting while driving to varying degrees and partially impaired power delivery.

Typical faults with a defective PDE wiring harness / PDE cable harness:

• Unsteady engine running
• Poor starting behavior
• Engine juddering at idle
• Engine misfires while driving

Recommendation:

Due to the amount of work involved in replacing this assembly, we recommend replacing it as a precautionary measure when working on the PDE, as the PDE wiring harness is already exposed and can be replaced in a few simple steps.
