OELMETRIK D1 combines an accurate oil dipstick with temperature sensor, the BLE sensor module and a compact AMOLED touchscreen for the 12 V vehicle power socket. You can see what the coolant temperature gauge doesn’t show: how warm your engine oil really is and how the temperature changes whilst driving.

Coolant is not engine oil.
The coolant temperature gauge may well show operating temperature, whilst the engine oil is still significantly cooler. Anyone who relies solely on the familiar 90 °C reading on the instrument cluster is therefore driving with a crucial unknown.
OELMETRIK displays the actual engine oil temperature. This allows you to assess the warm-up phase, short journeys, motorway driving, towing, inclines and sporty driving based on real oil temperature data – rather than on a sense of time or the coolant gauge.

One system, three perfectly coordinated components: the oil dipstick with temperature sensor, the BLE sensor module and the D1 AMOLED display. Together, they transform a hidden engine temperature into clear information for every journey.

Processes the measured value in the engine compartment and transmits it wirelessly via Bluetooth Low Energy to the display.
D1 AMOLED touchscreen
Displays temperature, trends, ranges and notifications on the 3.05 cm (1.2-inch) AMOLED touchscreen with 390 × 390 pixels – directly in the 12 V vehicle power socket.
Independent system logic
No CAN bus or ignition power is required. Auto-Wake and Deep Sleep handle the change of operating mode.
Fit rather than modify: No sensor data cable running through the vehicle, no intervention in the CAN bus and no separate cockpit instrument with its own mounting bracket.

Designed for push-in oil dipsticks. Versions with screw caps or bayonet locks are not currently included in the OELMETRIK fitment scope.

OELMETRIK was developed as a cohesive product experience: from the adjustable oil dipstick with temperature sensor and the anodised sensor module to the clear AMOLED display and operation via touch and the encoder ring. Every component fulfils its purpose – precisely, cleanly and thoughtfully down to the last detail.

Installation principle
Get the true oil temperature in just a few steps.
- Adjust the OELMETRIK oil dipstick with temperature sensor to the required length, select the appropriate O-rings and fit it in place of the original oil dipstick.
- Fit the sensor module in the engine compartment, protected from intense heat, moving parts, sharp edges and excessive moisture.
- Connect the black lead to the negative terminal of the battery or a suitable earth point.
- Connect the red, fused cable to the positive battery terminal.
- Insert the D1 display into the 12 V vehicle power socket and position it for the best readability.
For an oil-level check, continue to use the original oil dipstick. Full details on installation, commissioning and operation are set out in the current OELMETRIK manual.

Axel Kühne Sehr gut verarbeitet und funktional. Einbau war einfach. Ich hätte zwar an den Stromkabeln Ösen mit Ø8mm benötigt, aber das konnte ich mit Crimpverbindern lösen. Den Preis (trotz Einführungspreis) halte ich allerdings für ambitioniert. Mir war er das wert, da ich keine andere Möglichkeit für den Abgriff der Öltemperatur hatte.
